News

Well Christmas has come and gone, a mad rush right up until the last moment.  I left my job and it still hasn't sunk in.  I guess maybe next week when the others go back I might feel a bit adrift.  I am going to the City tomorrow and I am quite nervous about it.  Silly, I know, but there you go.

The old person has a two bedroom flat in Leumeah for the moment, and seems to have settled in quite well.  We got him a mobile phone so that he can make and receive calls.  It is cheaper than having a line phone, as it is prepaid.  He still comes over to do washing and generally annoy us.  We didn't see much of him while the X was here, but the X is bad enough anyhow.  Having to deal with two of them at the same tame is very frustrating.  It wasn't particularly jealousy, but more like just dislike.  The old person is not a sociable person and the X is from my "past", so it worked out well.

We also had two of my other grandchildren here, my oldest son's daughter and youngest son.  The older boy elected to go to his gran's place in Port Pirie, but I think he was having it a bit rough with one of his aunties there.

It was super having so many children around for Christmas.  Christmas should be shared with kids, and it seems to make it more fun.  I do not cook at Christmas, I buy some cooked chooks, some premade salads and paper plates and plastic cutlery.  We rounded up a big box and put a garbage bag into it and it was fine.  That all of it should be so easy.  The X actually bought food as well for the day and the Missus made a fruit cake which was really nice.

I will put in a link on the side to my new blog which I am keeping for public viewing, this will remain a close family blog, not for public.  I will update all of them during the week.  Look out for more announcements.
